Kurt Garbe, M.A., Kurt's focus is to assist families in finding the right treatment program for their loved one. His insight and advice comes from twenty years of experience in the chemical dependency/mental health field where he served as Director of Crisis Intervention and Admissions for the A.S.A.P. Family Treatment Program, Director of Admissions for the Discovery Adolescent Treatment Program and Director of Intake and Referrals at Anacapa By the Sea.

Paul Hamblin, B.A., has been working in the field of addictions for over 14 years. He has worked as Marketing Director of Hanley Hazelden. Paul also served as the Director of Professional Relations at Talbott Recovery Campus in Atlanta, GA. Most recently he served as Vice President of Assistance in Recovery (AiR) a national behavioral health consulting company. With close ties to the recovering community and its treatment providers, Paul has developed long-term relationships with some of the most well known facilities and professionals in the treatment arena. He has spoken to over 100 service and business organizations on chemical dependency. Paul is a graduate of Coe College in Cedar Rapids, IA with a BA in Business Administration and Psychology.

Karen Joyce Baker

Karen Joyce Baker has spent 25 years working in the field of recovery, 10 of those years as a Recreational Therapist. Since attending Case Western Reserve University and Stanford University, she has served as Alumni Events Coordinator and on the Alumni Advisory Council at the Hanley Center in West Palm Beach; as Honorary Director of the Baker Center in Ramat Gan, Israel; as a Board Member of Big Brothers Big Sisters in Palm Beach County; and as a guest panelist at Nova University’s Occupational Therapist Conference. Karen is also a published journalist, and her writing has appeared in such diverse publications as the Cleveland Plain Dealer, New York Woman, ELDR.com and others.
